Susan Buchanan, Project Director, LEED AP, VFA, Inc.
Susan Buchanan is Project Director at VFA, where she oversees the delivery of Green Building Assessments and other sustainability solutions for clients. She has 30 years of experience in construction and project management, including extensive expertise in alternative construction methods and sustainable systems design. Susan has worked on green projects around the globe, ranging from the renovation of a historic Victorian factory building in London to the development of alternative building materials and methods used in a population resettlement project in West Africa. At VFA, Susan has been instrumental in the development of methodologies for assessing the sustainability of existing buildings. She is a LEED AP and member of the Boston Chapter of the International Facility Management Association.
