VFA.facility 9, coming in Spring 2009, lets you more easily view information about capital assets the way you want to see it. New dashboards and reports, more options for budget prioritization, and support for multiple currencies are just a few features you’ll find in this release.
- Manage Reports Easily in Report Center. A new reporting area lets you organize reports in public and shared folders, schedule reports to run at specific times, automatically email reports to recipients you specify, and more. Several new reports are provided, which you can you view online, or output in multiple formats. All the standard and custom reports from VFA.facility 8 are still available.
- Customize Reports with Report Author. Use a simple drag-and-drop interface to customize reports or create new ones with the optional Report Author tool. Share your reports with other users, and use them to create dashboards.
- Use Dashboards to Convey Information Simply. Two new homepage dashboards provide a graphical view of key portfolio performance indicators. You may also create your own dashboards – including tables, charts, dial indicators, and more – using any reports available in Report Center. You can drill into underlying reports directly through a dashboard. You can even bring data from other applications into your dashboard for a more complete picture of facility conditions and needs.
- Create More Customized Budgets. An expanded set of fields within VFA.facility may be used as criteria for ranking capital needs, including data in Regions, Campuses, Assets, Systems, Requirements and Prime Actions. In addition, a new Excel-based Scores Worksheet provides details about how each ranked requirement was scored.
- Streamline Management of Multi-Country Portfolios. If your organization has assets in multiple countries, local currencies may be used for Regions, Campuses and/or Assets, while reports may be rolled up using a standard site-wide global currency. VFA.facility also now supports UK English in addition to U.S. English, French and German.
