VFA.facility is a comprehensive asset portfolio tool that allows for the collection, storage, and reporting of facilities/infrastructure condition data and related asset data. Users gain a holistic view of the portfolio, including buildings, security elements and utility infrastructure. Users can readily view and edit key data to make informed and defensible decisions in regard to capital reinvestment.

|
Data is organized logically into levels of hierarchy to parallel an organization's needs and geography. Levels of hierarchy include: Portfolio, Region, Campus/Site, Asset, Requirement and Action.

Users of VFA.facility obtain a clear and quantified picture of asset condition information, which is organized in the software in terms of "requirements" and associated "actions." Each requirement is included with multiple sorting and prioritization capabilities. For required actions, the system's cost estimator accesses the full set of line items and building assemblies of the RSMeans® cost database. Multiple correction strategies may be included, and non-RSMeans® cost data may be entered as well.

VFA.facility maintains a predictive element to forecast asset renewal costs. System cost models based on the UNIFORMAT II standard, are developed for each capital asset to forecast renewal costs. Cost models, developed during the assessment process and based upon construction type and use, capture the current condition of systems as well as the expected lifetime and distribution of renewal costs. Cost models allow for multiple instances within the same UNIFORMAT II category.
