Facilities Assessment Consultants
Our Facilities Consultants are responsible for performing assessment services in a fast-paced, highly efficient environment. Degree in Architecture or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or professional facilities management experience. Engineering candidates will ideally have crossover experience between ME and EE. 5-10 years of facilities management-related experience; strong working knowledge of building systems in one or more architectural, mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines; strong computer, technical and cost-estimating skills; US and international travel required (mostly North America); willingness to work on a contract basis with no benefits.

Project Director
Reporting to the Vice President of Professional Services, the Project Director is responsible for overall client relationship during all phases of contracts.
Responsibilities include overseeing and managing project risks, overall budget, project costs, schedule and staff requirements. Crafting strategic solutions and providing management and technical oversight to VFA project managers and A/E staff. Manage client expectations; overseeing quality assurance, contract compliance and communications; providing technical support to sales staff as required to secure business, including sales presentations, software demonstrations, technical proposal preparation, labor and pricing estimates, etc.
Requirements include a degree in architectural or engineering discipline, or project management; a minimum of 10 years managing professional A/E related services with solid leadership; and previous experience in related fields is essential in government, corporate, education, or healthcare markets. Applicants should also have experience in working with clients to achieve sustainability goals for their existing building portfolio; experience in presenting to and communicating with clients at executive levels; and strong experience in delivery of software solutions. USGBC LEED EB experience beneficial but not necessary.

Project Managers
Responsibilities include managing client relationship including all communications, project requirements and revenues. Daily management of multiple projects including team coordination, scheduling, invoicing, cost, staff and revenue forecasting. Product quality review including monitoring of assessment procedures, data entry, and database quality control procedures. Review and have solid working knowledge of building systems in the areas of architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
Requirements include a degree in architectural or engineering discipline, or facilities project management; 5 to 10 years project management experience. Previous experience in facility management related fields and database experience a plus. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Project, internet based applications and strong typing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. Healthcare, Government, Commercial and international experience a plus. Some U.S. and international travel. Software Development
Principal Software Architect - Product Development - Boston
Reporting to the Director of Software Development, the Principal Software Architect must be experienced in architecting and developing scalable web applications using J2EE and Web 2.0 technologies in a SaaS environment. The candidate will play a key role in creating a coherent software architecture for VFA products that emphasizes unified domain model and code reuse. The candidate will drive the creation and collaborate on the execution of the implementation strategy that preserves continuity with existing product line and allows transition to the next generation architecture within 2-3 years over multiple product releases and with visible and marketable benefits in every release. Technical skills must include Java 5+ as well as JavaScript, AJAX , Hibernate, Flex, EJB, and SOA. Extensive experience in Web UI/application development with connection to Oracle 10g, UI frameworks and Java report/graphing engines. 12+ years of software engineering/development experience, specifically at least 6 years of experience in design and development of Java based web applications. The candidate should possess a BS/MS degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.

Senior/Principal UI Software Engineer - Product Development - Boston
Individual with 5+ years in web-based software development focused on front-end web UI development. The candidate should have extensive J2EE web development experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This individual should also have the following skills: Demonstrated skills to develop highly-maintainable, modularized, model-view-controller (MVC) driven UI components; Minimum 5 years experience in building commercial software applications using Java in a J2EE environment; Experience building web application that needs to be extremely robust, usable and scalable; Experience using JavaServer Faces, AJAX, MyFaces, or JBoss Seam; Strong programming skills with focus on Java, JSP, JSTL, XHTML, XSLT, XPath; Browser development using JavaScript, XHTML, XSL, CSS, and XML; Experience with the platform of Internet Explorer 6/7 and Firefox; Ability to take business requirements and define product requirements, functional and design specifications; BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent.

VFA.spendManager Implementation Consultant - Indianapolis
The Implementation Consultant will work with the executive and senior decision-makers in the target customer accounts to assist in understanding, defining business problems and highlighting the value of VFA’s solutions in the areas of healthcare finance, operations, and strategic planning (materials, facilities, engineering). The successful candidate will report to the General Manager of Software Services and is responsible for the successful management and implementation of the VFA.spendManager product solutions at customer accounts. Will be responsible for developing strong, long-term relationships with key customer executives, primarily CFO's, COO's, Materials Managers and CIO's. Key responsibility involves working closely with product management, sales, and presales to manage customer satisfaction, ensure timely implementation of solution, recognize new business opportunities, resolve business issues with new and existing VFA customers, develop reference accounts and meet revenue targets.
Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Business, Health Administration, or Computer Science, MBA preferred; Consulting services management experience in the software industry, a definite plus; Vertical industry experience in Healthcare, and / or Financial Management is a plus; Ability to gain an understanding of the customer's business process in each functional area; Experience with the deployment of enterprise software, process improvement, or project management; Ability to work with minimal supervision from senior management. Acts as a leader and takes ownership of the entire project management lifecycle; Collaborates with the customer and product management to determine how to improve business process; Proven track record in leading customer engagements and managing customer satisfaction, including ability to troubleshoot/coordinate with support staff to resolve problems; Demonstrated superior (customer engagements) project management skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to communicate at all management levels within a customer organization; prior experience working directly with executive level managers in client companies; Ability to travel up to 50%.

Director of Information Technology
Reporting to the Vice President of Software, the Director of Information Technology will be responsible for managing all aspects of VFA’s computer, network and telephone infrastructure. The Director provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing IT initiatives in support of VFA’s mission and goals. The Director will oversee the activities of 5 IT and 3 Customer Support staff as well as manage the Information Technology organization team including project/program management, operation services, telecommunications, database systems, hosted offerings and business systems.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Supporting VFA’s hosted software products (SaaS) to insure 7X24 availability by preparing technology roadmap for all hosted products; ensuring all systems are secured using industry best practices; collaborating with software development team to ensure the continued scalability of the infrastructure; being able to talk to external customers about technology, security, etc
Supporting VFA’s internal systems by developing strategic IT plans to support long term growth objectives; developing and implementing technology roadmap for VFA’s internal servers and applications; developing, supporting and maintaining VFA’s IT security strategy and roadmap; enforcing VFA’s software licensing policy on a company-wide basis; supporting distributed workforce and remote offices inside and outside of the US; setting up new remote offices
Overseeing Customer Support and insuring response times and escalation procedures are followed and maintained; own, implement and evolve business continuity and disaster recovery plans; developing policies and procedures to support VFA’s fast-paced growth; preparing annual company capital budget and assist in long-term capital planning; Working with department heads to develop strategic requirements; staff management, including hiring, mentoring and career development
Qualifications should include minimum 15 years IT experience showing increased responsibility; minimum 5 years managing staff; experience supporting a 7X24 hosted environment; proven ability to design technical infrastructures such as web farms and office to office WAN architectures; capable of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a fast-paced environment; proven experience managing IT Operations functional areas including data centers, server solutions, networking, telecommunications and helpdesk; bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Product Marketing Manager
Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for market and competitive analysis, market requirements definition, launch planning, pricing, positioning and sales support. In addition, the individual will work closely with the software and services teams, sales, business development, and marketing communications to develop and execute “go-to-market” plans.
Responsibilities include conducting market research/analysis as well as competitive analysis; developing market requirements documents; managing pricing, packaging and launch of new solutions; defining the go-to-market strategy addressing product positioning, target customers and channels; develop highly effective sales tools; providing content and subject matter expertise to marketing communications team in order to create effective lead generation programs and related collateral.
Qualifications: MBA along with 5-7 years of hands-on solutions and/or software product marketing experience; proven ability to identify and interpret customer business issues and translate them into compelling software and service offerings; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with strong analytical and creative problem solving capabilities.

Lead Generation Specialist
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, the Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for developing and qualifying sales prospects, working as part of the lead generation team. In this position, you will build a pipeline of qualified sales leads for the VFA sales team, develop prospecting campaigns, and cold call on target accounts. Responsibilities include qualifying inbound inquiries; conducting outbound calling campaigns in specific vertical markets; nurturing prospects to sales readiness; tracking and reporting on effectiveness of Lead Generation activities. Qualifications include at least 5 years of related experience in a similar function; experience selling solutions encompassing software and services; experience selling to multiple roles/functions within an organization; proven ability to develop processes for effective prospecting and tracking program performance; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience with CRM systems, Salesforce.com preferred. Administrative Assistant (Part-time)
We are seeking an energetic and team oriented administrative professional to staff a newly created part-time (25 – 30 hours per week) administrative assistant. Supporting two senior managers the specific responsibilities associated with this position will include but not necessarily be limited to the following items: making travel and meeting arrangements; scheduling / calendaring; data entry of marketing and other information into Excel; typing correspondence, reports, and filing; ordering and maintaining office supplies; setting up conference calls or Web ex meetings; assisting members of the team with administrative tasks. Qualifications include: 1 - 3 years related administrative/office support experience; experience providing support to two or more managers at a given time; excellent organization and communication skills; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
The candidate should be a self starter, enthusiastic and be able to work independently. Prior experience in functional areas such as Marketing or Software/Software Development is a plus.
