VFA Expands Marketing and Sales Teams

Company Adds Three Industry Veterans in Response to Strong Market Demand for Facility Assessment Management and Capital Planning Software

Boston, MA - October 3, 2005 - VFA, Inc., the leading provider of software and services for facilities management and capital planning, today announced that it has hired Jim Blaschke as vice president of corporate and partner sales, Laura Cook as director of marketing communications, and David Isaacson as director of product marketing. In their new positions, Blaschke, Cook and Isaacson will each play a critical role in helping VFA to continue extending its reach in North America and Europe.

Jim Blaschke has 25 years experience in information-technology partnering, sales and marketing, most recently directing worldwide channel sales at Lumigent Technologies, Inc. He has previously served in sales, business development, and marketing executive roles at Intellution, Sun Microsystems, MatrixOne and General Electric. In his role as vice president of corporate and partner sales at VFA, Blaschke will manage sales to the corporate market, oversee partner sales activities, and spearhead VFA’s sales efforts in Europe.

As director of marketing communications at VFA, Laura Cook will focus on generating demand and building brand awareness across multiple vertical markets. She brings 20 years experience in marketing and market research in the professional services and IT industries. Cook’s previous roles include management of marketing communications and demand generation programs at Computer Sciences Corp., a Fortune 200 systems integration firm, and of client marketing and communications programs for a marketing communications agency. Prior to joining VFA, Cook served as director of marketing for Trigent, a software services company.

David Isaacson will be responsible for product marketing for VFA’s flagship product for facilities management and capital planning, VFA.facility®, as well as new VFA products. Isaacson has previously served in product marketing and product management positions for high-tech organizations including Oracle, GTECH and Epsilon. He has successfully launched and positioned software products in categories including business intelligence, transactional systems, and enterprise search. Isaacson was most recently product marketing director at Fast Search & Transfer, where he was responsible for their eBusiness product suite.
