VFA HONORED FOR CHARITABLE WORK WITH

Boston, MA - VFA, Inc., the leading provider of software and services for facilities management and capital planning, today announced the appointment of Joan Lockhart to the position of vice president of marketing. Lockhart brings more than 20 years of high-technology marketing and sales expertise to VFA, having worked for both start-up and established multi-national companies.
“VFA enjoyed its best year yet in 2003, gaining momentum with several very large contracts, including multi-million dollar contracts from the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and the British Columbia Ministry of Health Services,” said Jerry Kokos, president and CEO, VFA. “Joan’s appointment adds to the breadth and depth of our senior management team at a time when the demand for our software and services is rapidly increasing. Her proven leadership in the high-technology industry will help us extend our market presence and establish strong VFA brand recognition.”
As vice president of marketing, Lockhart will drive the Company’s positioning, strategic communications, demand-generation initiatives and partner programs. Prior to taking on this new role at VFA, Lockhart was director of enterprise marketing for the Americas at RSA Security in Bedford, Mass. At RSA, Lockhart was responsible for lead-generation and channel and field marketing programs, as well as worldwide corporate branding for RSA’s market-leading information security solutions. Previously, Lockhart led corporate marketing at Convergent Networks in Lowell, Mass., achieving significant marketing momentum and revenue growth for its next-generation switching solutions in a challenging telecom environment. Additionally, Lockhart has led corporate marketing at Avid Technology, MCK Communications and PictureTel Corporation, all high-growth companies which successfully established market-leadership positions.
