UNICCO, MRO SOFTWARE AND VFA PRESENT FM SEMINARS

PHILADELPHIA - Sept. 3, 2003 - UNICCO Service Co., MRO Software and VFA, Inc. will present a series of seminars to provide property owners and managers a first look at a new seamless, transparent, Web-based information system that will allow them to maximize their facilities' values.

The seminars will be offered to facilities executives from the commercial, corporate office, industrial, education, retail and government markets.

"Our three companies have created a powerful, flexible and scalable solution that has established a unified 'best practice' partnership for the four key facilities components: assessment, capital asset planning, strategic asset management and maintenance services," said Jeff Peterson, vice president, information technology at UNICCO.

"For property owners and facility managers, the days of struggling with incompatible programs and databases, unlinked and unsynched data, and multiple scheduling and collaboration tools are finally over. Seminar attendees will see how the integrated portal we have developed is a reliable gateway providing a single point of interaction with all of a company's facilities applications, content, processes, and people."

The seminars will be held in three locations: Boston/Newton (Tuesday, Sept. 16); Philadelphia (Wednesday, Sept. 17); and Washington, D.C. (Thursday, Sept. 18). The seminars will start at 8 a.m. each day and end at Noon. Free registration and further information is available athttp://www.vfa.com/roadshow.htm.

The seminars will address the issues that property owners and facility managers face in keeping track of and effectively integrating facilities condition data, maintenance schedules, inventory status, budgets and reports. The integrated methodology helps improve decision-making based on a total picture of projected and actual costs for routine and preventive maintenance, deferred maintenance and capital asset renewal.

The seminars will also cover how to develop effective capital plans in combination with specific projects, reports, CAD (computer-aided design) drawings and work orders. Attendees will better understand how to leverage innovations in capital asset planning and management for optimal decision making in regard to facilities and capital budgeting.

On a tactical level, the sessions will examine scheduling and executing work, mobilizing field personnel, and integrating technology-based decision support tools for long-term capital planning.
