VFA AND MRO SOFTWARE SIGN PARTNERSHIP
Alliance Improves Strategic Asset Management Solutions for Facilities
Boston, MA - July 24, 2002 - VFA, Inc., a leading provider of facilities and infrastructure lifecycle management solutions, announced today that it has partnered with MRO Software, Inc., a leading provider of e-business solutions for strategic asset management. This alliance integrates two proven, best-in-class enterprise solutions, providing property owners with the ability to view and manage all aspects associated with building and equipment stewardship, from preventive and routine scheduled maintenance, to deferred maintenance, capital renewal, and multi-year capital planning.
The integration delivers enhanced capabilities for the efficient planning, maintenance, and allocation of facilities and related physical resources. Through the partnership, VFA and MRO Software will also work together to expand their customer base and generate new sources of revenue. Both companies have blue-chip client bases in the government, educational, healthcare and commercial sectors.
VFA has developed AssetFusion, a product that links its flagship software product, VFA.facility, with MRO Softwares industry-leading MAXIMO® software solution. Implementing AssetFusion with MRO Softwares MAXIMO solution allows users to gain a total picture of both their actual costs for preventive and routine asset maintenance and repair, and projected capital renewal and deferred maintenance costs spanning multiple years.
This partnership will deliver increased value to the many clients that MRO Software and VFA share, said Steve Caslick, vice president, channel partner programs, MRO Software. VFAs capital planning technology and condition assessment services are a natural complement to MRO Softwares strategic asset management solutions. This is a mutually beneficial relationship that will provide both companies with greater opportunities for growth and success.
VFA.facility is the central technology platform within VFAs Capital Planning and Management Solutions (CPMS) suite of products and services. Employing both CPMS and enterprise asset maintenance technologies empower facility managers and owners to better manage building conditions in support of organizational goals. CPMS focuses on the identification and prioritization of deferred maintenance and renewal issues, as well as multi-year capital planning. Enterprise asset maintenance technology manages inventory, work orders and the preventive tasks required to maintain building equipment.
MRO Softwares solutions combined with VFAs CPMS technology and services will truly transform the way both building owners and managers maintain their facilities, said Jerry Kokos, president and CEO, VFA. Together, we will deliver to our customers a highly valuable combination of both day-to-day and strategic asset management and planning that is unmatched in this market.
