Wes joined Sionex in 2004 with 25 years of experience leading high technology companies, both public and privately held. Prior to Sionex, Wes was the CEO of Radiant Images, an early stage company with advanced microdisplay technology, where he successfully negotiated financing as well as a strategic partnership with the leader in their targeted market. While at MicroTouch, a leader in touchscreens, and Lasertron, the leader in lasers for the telecommunications market, Wes initiated the sale of both companies generating $275 million in shareholder value. Earlier in his career, he was with Autographix and General Scanning and was a partner with the strategy consulting firm, Braxton Associates. Wes holds a BSE in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard.
Mike Balmuth
Michael directs Edison Venture Fund's New England regional team based in the Boston area. He has 20 years of technology industry experience as a venture capitalist, investment banker and software executive. Before joining Edison, he was a General Partner at Summit Partners, where he led the east coast office for the Summit Accelerator Fund as a founding partner. Michael has served as a director of numerous public and private companies. He managed investments in Infor, Unica (NASDAQ: UNCA), OPNET (NASDAQ: OPNT), MCK Communications (NASDAQ: MCKC; acquired by Verso Technologies), Future Three (acquired by Infor), InstallShield (acquired by Macrovision), Microbank (acquired by SunGard Data), PowerSmart (acquired by Microchip Technology), Staples.com (acquired by Staples) and TrelliSoft (acquired by IBM). Previously, Michael worked in technology investment banking with Broadview International and in sales, marketing, corporate development and systems engineering at IBM Corporation. He earned an AB degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tom Ebling brings more than 20 years experience in business management and software development to his role as President and CEO of Demandware. With a solid reputation for driving rapid growth in emerging companies, Ebling has a proven track record of guiding innovative companies to market leadership. Ebling’s retail technology experience includes serving as chief executive officer of ProfitLogic, the industry leader in merchandising optimization solutions, which he led to successful acquisition by Oracle in 2005. Previously, Ebling acted as CEO of Torrent Systems, a data warehousing and analytics software provider acquired by Ascential Software in 2001. Ebling also spent 18 years of his career helping to grow Marcam Solutions from startup to $200 million in revenues and a successful IPO. Most recently, Ebling served as CEO of Lattice Engines, a startup offering sales and optimization solutions to large sales organizations. Ebling holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Williams College. He also attended Harvard Law School, and holds a patent for inventions in software related to Process Manufacturing at Marcam Corporation.
Jerry is current President and CEO of VFA. He has more than 20 years of general management and strategic technology experience, and has established a proven track record with both emerging and established software and services companies.

Prior to VFA, Jerry served as Executive Vice President of the Investors Services Group at First Data Corporation and Corporate Vice President/General Manager at New England Business Systems. He also directed the worldwide channel strategy for software products at ComputerVision, where he held the position of Vice President/General Manager of Alternate Channels Business Unit.

Jerry graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy with a bachelor's degree in engineering and received his master's in business administration from Yale University. Prior to his business career, Jerry served in the U.S. Coast Guard for nine years, achieving the rank of lieutenant commander. Jerry is also a member of the board of directors of Tangoe, Inc.

Bill Vanderweil
The firm’s Chief Financial Officer until 2005, Bill has overseen all aspects of administration, finance and marketing. He remains active in all these areas. Bill has also served as President of the Board of Directors of the Excel Design Professional Risk Management Group, Vanderweil’s professional liability insurance company. He received a BA degree from Colby College, and an MBA degree in Economics from the University of Detroit.
Mr. Vanderweil serves as Chairman of the Board of Vanderweil Engineers, one of the largest mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering firms in the industry. The firm has offices in Boston, Princeton, Alexandria, Las Vegas, and Philadelphia, and has designed the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for buildings and companies throughout the country and in the far and middle east. He has extensive design experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems. He holds an A.B. in Engineering from Harvard University and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
