Corporate, Education, Government, and Healthcare Customers Bring in More than $40 Million

BOSTON – January 21, 2009 – VFA, Inc., the leading provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, today announced record sales of more than $40 million in 2008, an increase of 39% over last year. With the addition of 41 new customers in 2008, VFA now helps more than 400 organizations across North America and the United Kingdom to strategically manage their facility assets and maximize the value of their capital investments.

Over the past year, VFA closed several large, multi-year deals in the U.S. and Canada, including a four-year $8 million contract for a province-wide assessment and VFA.facility® licenses for the Ontario Ministry of Health. VFA also continues to grow business within its existing customer base. For example, Clark County School District, a VFA.facility customer since 1998, hired VFA to conduct facility condition assessments for more than 200 schools to support the development of its 2008 capital master plan. Also, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), a VFA.facility customer since 2000, implemented VFA.auditor® facility self-assessment software across all of its 11 regions.

“The strength and depth of VFA’s solutions has carried us deeper into our target markets in 2008,” said Jerry Kokos, CEO of VFA. “Our record sales last year, in the midst of a weakening economy, reflect the growing need for organizations to maintain accurate information about critical capital assets and effectively leverage this data to conduct strategic capital planning and budgeting.”

Kokos continued: “Our growth strategy over the past few years has been to increase our expertise in each of our target markets, from both a vertical market as well as a geographic perspective, and to develop our solutions to fit their evolving needs.”

In 2008, VFA’s Green Building Assessment Services were recognized as a “Top 100 Product of 2008” by Buildings magazine and the company was also a finalist for CoreNet Global’s H. Bruce Russell Innovator’s Awards, one of the top honors in the corporate real estate industry. In addition, VFA was named – for the sixth consecutive year – to the Software 500, Software Magazine’s list of the world’s top software and service providers.
